Yes. BMW provides an Occasional Use Cable (Level 1 charger) with all new and Certified Pre-Owned plug-in hybrid vehicles, which charges at 120V and makes it easy to charge at any power outlet. BMW recommends purchasing a BMW i Wallbox for faster home charging. This equipment can be installed by a certified electrician and shortens charging times by providing higher output.

Every Certified Pre-Owned plug-in hybrid vehicle undergoes rigorous and thorough testing, and the battery is carefully inspected for wear. Any under-performing components are replaced before the vehicle can become Certified. Battery degradation in PHEVs is generally minimal, especially if the vehicle is less than five years old. In the unlikely event of a battery concern, the vehicle's battery is covered by the 8-year-/160,000 kilometre warranty – offering a replacement quickly and at no cost when performed at a certified BMW Centre.

Extreme temperatures may affect your vehicle's available range, simply because the vehicle relies on additional electric power to heat or cool the vehicle. However, thanks to the flexibility of the combustion engine, your BMW will still operate reliably in any temperature conditions.

There are simple things you can do to counteract the effects of extreme temperatures.  In cold weather conditions, try preheating the cabin while plugged into the charger and using the seat warmers instead of the cabin heater. In extremely hot temperatures, you can pre-cool the cabin while it is plugged in. In general, avoid hard braking, so you can allow the vehicle’s regenerative braking system to recover its energy.
