With Remote Software Upgrades, your BMW is always up to date. Receive free quality improvements over the air via your BMW app or your BMW's SIM card and install them directly in your vehicle. You could also receive new functions or functional improvements free of charge, if and when available, depending on the country, vehicle model, equipment and vehicle condition.

DRIVE RECORDER: NOW ALSO IN THE MY BMW APP.

Up to now, you could only view videos from your Drive Recorder and Remote 3D View on the central information display or save them on a USB stick. You can now also transfer them to your My BMW app and have them available anytime and anywhere.

WELCOME LIGHT ANIMATION: ADDITIONAL VARIANTS AVAILABLE.

With Remote Software Upgrade 23-11, three additional Welcome Light Animation variants (Allegro, Adagio and Vivace) are available in the BMW ConnectedDrive Store.

HIGHWAY ASSISTANT (5AX) WITH ACTIVE LANE CHANGE (ALC).

With the release of Remote Software Upgrade 23-11, the MY24 5 Series, 7 Series, and XM built with Highway Assistant (5AX) will receive an enhancement called Active Lane Change (ALC). The ALC system will suggest lane changes to the customer when there is, for example, a vehicle travelling at a slower speed in front of them and an open lane beside them. An alert will appear before the customer, and they will simply need to turn their head toward the side view mirror in the direction of the suggested lane change. Once this is done, the system will determine when it is safe to make the lane change and do so. ALC is a great enhancement to the hands-off driving experience.

This Remote Software Upgrade updates existing functions to meet the latest state-of-the-art technological standards and includes quality enhancements.
